I would like to congratulate the winner of the Central Northeast Health Foundation fundraiser which raised money towards the research and equipment for Ganders colorectal specialty. The winner of the fundraiser received a 24x36 framed painting of St Johns Battery. Congratulations!!!!

I would also like to congratulate the winning bidder of the first annual "Opera on the Avalon" gala and auction held this past June 30 at the Geo Centre in St Johns!! The winning bidder received a painting 24x36 of St Johns outer battery! Proceeds benefit scholarships for the newly established Opera program held in St Johns Newfoundland. Link here

Commission for the St Johns Delta

My wife and I have just returned from the 2010 Arts and Letters Awards held this past Saturday at the Rooms in St Johns. I am very pleased to say that my painting "Delta to the Narrows" was selected as a winner in the category of senior visual art. We had a great evening, with some of the provinces most promising and talented artists in a variety of disciplines! I am truly honored to have been amongst such great people! Thank you..

A big thank you to Regina Best for all her hard work with the Co-ordination of the Awards, and to the adjudicators for their time, there are many other people who deserve a tonne of praise for their dedication and effort to these awards, without whom, the awards would likely not exist. A very sincere thank you to everyone involved with the Arts and Letters program of Newfoundland.

I am also very grateful to The Delta for their support, and their commissioning of this piece! I am very proud to be associated with such a great establishment.

The arts and letters awards are presented annually. My painting of the St Johns fire of 1901 was an oil on canvas selected by the,arts and letters committee of newfoundland for senior visual arts.
